United Nations (UN) want special court for somalia pirates


Security Council of the United Nations (UN) called for the establishment of courts, prisons, and the special law to crack down on the pirates from Somalia. The reason, their action in recent years increasingly rampant, with the hijacked ship and its crew hostage for ransom money.

Russia proposed resolution was received absolute support from all members of the council, which amounted to 15 countries. They also agreed to immediately implement comprehensive measures to combat piracy.

The UN Security Council also called on all countries to cooperate on issues hostage by Somali pirates. In addition, the international community was also asked to help Somalia's government to improve the security capabilities of the coast.

In previous resolutions, the UN Security Council also approve of all countries and organizations concerned to enter Somalia's territorial waters and "use methods that are needed" to combat piracy there, including mobilizing the military forces. They are also allowed to take action against the pirates in Somali waters
